Happy Summer Everyone!
I hope you have been able to enjoy the beautiful weather! In order to help keep your brains active this summer, I sent math calendars in the mail to all of the students. Try to do as many activities as possible or pick a couple each week to do. You can keep a journal/diary of your summer too. This will help you practice writing and how to use words to express what you are thinking. However, reading is the single best activity you can do to grow over the summer. Don't forget to log all your books or articles onto the Dr. Gordon Summer Reading Log that was included in the report card. If you misplaced it, any paper is okay or you can get it on the homepage of this site. I also encourage you to check out the reading math site on our Faculty and Resource pages.
I am sure as you think about getting ready to come back to school you are curious as to what homerooms students have been placed in. Grade level lists will be posted on August 25th at
3:00 pm on the recess door. School supply lists are on the homepage of this site for your convenience as well.
The building is looking great! The custodians are working hard to get it into shape! Many classrooms have been painted and the corridors are shining. Now all we need is our students! Can't wait to see you! School starts on Monday, August 29th for grades 1-5 and Thursday, September 1st for Kindergarten. Welcome to all our new families! We will have an orientation for new students and their families in grades 1-5 on August 24th at 9:00am. Hope to see you there.
Please take advantage of the final month of vacation to rest, play and enjoy your family.
See you soon!
